【辨析】beat，win与defeat

三者都有“打败；战胜”的意思，但用法不一样：

①beat意为“打败；胜过”，后常接表示比赛和竞争的对手或团体，常与defeat互换使用。其过去式和过去分词分别为beat，beaten。

eg：We beat the boy's team in the basketball match.在篮球比赛中，我们打败了男子队。

②win意为“获胜；赢得”，其宾语常为game，match，prize等表示比赛、名次、奖品等的词，其宾语不能用表示人的词。其过去式和过去分词都为won。

eg：We won the football match last time，but we lost it this time.我们上次赢了足球赛，但这次我们输了。

③defeat意为“击败；战胜”，尤指在战场上打败敌人，其宾语常为人或某个团体、组织。其过去式和过去分词都为defeated。

eg：They defeated the enemy in the battle.他们在那次战斗中打败了敌人。
