1. I ’m making a list of things for my trip.

我正在列旅行所需东西的清单。

(1) list n. 名单, 清单。是可数名词,常用短语：a list of。

e.g. Does the club have a list of its all members?

俱乐部里有全体成员的名单吗?

(2) make a list 列清单；make a list of … 列……的清单。

e.g. I usually make a list of things before going shopping.

我通常去购物前列个清单。

2. It sounds crazy.

听起来很荒唐。

crazy adj. 发疯的；荒唐的，形容人很疯狂或精神失常，引申指“荒唐的”。

e.g. The children like to do crazy things together.

这些孩子们喜欢在一起做疯狂的事情。

That ’s a crazy idea.

3. I ’m leaving at the end of July.

at the end of … “在……的尽头，在……的末 端”，指时间或空间。

并列复合句

1. 并列复合句的 定义：由并列连词and, but, or等把两个或两个以上简单句连在一起而构成的句子。例如：

Jane has kept the book for three days and she must return it tomorrow.

简借这本书已经三天了，明天她必须归还。

The boy fell off the bike, but he didn ’t hurt.

那个男孩从自行车上掉下来了，但是没摔伤。

2. 并列复合句的构成：

并列复合句的基本结构是：简单句+并列连词+简单句。例如：

I help him and he helps me.

You must put on your coat, or you ’ll have a bad cold in such a cold day.
